Online Joint Postdoctoral Teaching Certificate Program Offered by AUBSS in partnership with QAHE


 In response to the evolving demands of higher education, where postdoctoral scholars are increasingly expected to demonstrate both research excellence and advanced pedagogical competence, the American University of Business and Social Sciences (AUBSS) and the International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary & Higher Education (QAHE) have jointly developed the Online Joint Postdoctoral Teaching Certificate Program.

This fully online program is designed for individuals who hold a doctoral degree and are engaged in, or preparing for, teaching and mentoring roles in higher education institutions. It aims to strengthen participants’ theoretical understanding and practical skills in university-level teaching, curriculum design, student engagement, and academic mentorship.

Program Overview

  • Duration: One year (with the possibility of extension up to three years)
  • Format: Entirely online, offering flexibility for working academics worldwide
  • Total Commitment: Approximately 60 hours of structured learning and practical application

The curriculum focuses on key areas essential for effective postsecondary teaching, including advanced facilitation and coaching techniques, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) applications in education, communication and mentoring strategies, training needs analysis, program development, and the evaluation of teaching effectiveness. Participants will also develop competencies in scholarly internet research and evidence-based instructional design.

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Joint Postdoctoral Teaching Certificate issued by AUBSS and QAHE, acknowledging their enhanced pedagogical expertise and commitment to teaching excellence.

Target Participants

The program is particularly suited for postdoctoral researchers, lecturers, assistant professors, and other academic professionals seeking to deepen their teaching capabilities and contribute more effectively to the academic community.
