Renowned Public Health Pharmacist Dr. Olasiji Akanmu Olamiju Awarded Honorary Professorship of Pharmacy Practice

 


 

The American University of Business and Social Sciences (AUBSS) and the International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-tertiary and Higher Education (IAQAPHE) have awarded an Honorary Professorship of Pharmacy Practice to Dr. Olasiji Akanmu Olamiju.

Dr. Olamiju, a distinguished Consultant Public Health Pharmacist and former Commissioner for Public Health in Osun State, was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the pharmacy profession and public health initiatives in Nigeria.

Dr. Olamiju's dedication to improving healthcare access, promoting rational drug use, and managing disease outbreaks is truly commendable. His wealth of experience and leadership in the pharmaceutical sector make him a worthy recipient of this honorary professorship.

The award highlights Dr. Olamiju's distinguished career, which includes serving as the Group Managing Director of Akol Groups, a leading pharmaceutical company. He has also held various leadership roles, such as being a member of the Osun State Executive Council, a representative candidate for the APC party, and the co-chairman of the Osun PCC Medical Committee in 2023.
